Come and join Noye (Noah), his family, and a cast of animals and musicians as they escape from the great flood that encompasses the earth.
This colorful, Biblically-inspired opera is based on an early 15th century mystery play, but written for today’s audiences—including opportunities to join in song.
The story centers around Noye (played by baritone John Bitsas), Mrs. Noye (played by Jenna Anderson), and his family as God commands them to build the ark. The sometimes recalcitrant Mrs. Noye adds a few complications along the way. The shippe (as it is spelled in the play) is filled with animals and Noye's family as they navigate the flood, eventually finding dry land.
The cast involves members of our choirs, preschools, music students, and members of the community. All are welcome to join us - for more information, click here!
Tickets will be available at the door for $10/person, $5/student or family of All Saints students , or a family/group (more than 10 people) maximum of $100. Children under 12 are free.
To further our ministry with Welborne Church’s Food Pantry, a $2 per can discount is available if you bring canned goods to donate (at the door only).
If you would like to purchase tickets in advance through Realm, please click here!
There is still plenty of time to join the cast of Noye's Fludde - and all are welcome!
We need animals! If you know a child (from about age 3 and up) who would like to play an animal on the ark, we need to pack the boat! The animals came two by two, after all! There will be one rehearsal for this on Friday, February 10 beginning at 5:00 PM. There are many animals to choose from – lions, tigers, and bears! You can find the sign-up genius here!
Children ages 6 through 12 who would like a larger musical challenge can join the Animal Chorus. Rehearsals for this group are on Thursdays, 5:00 - 6:00 PM (at the same time as All Saints Training Choir rehearses in the All Saints Choir room). Sign up on the sign-up genius, and we'll see you on Thursdays!
Teens and more experienced child singers can jump into some of the ensemble singing - there are roles that involve some acting, and some that don't! Contact Scott Hayes, Director of Music if you'd like to jump in!
Adults - We also need help with publicity, stage, lights, costumes, and more. If you think this sounds like fun, let’s talk and figure out what sounds like the best fit! There are additional singing character roles for boy & girl singers, as well as teens.
If you have questions, please contact Scott Hayes via email or by calling 1.804.288.7811, ext. 108.
