Cabaret!

Friday, September 21 - 6:00 PM

$20/person or $150/family

Join the Choirs of All Saints Church  for dinner as they sing their way through favorite Broadway and popular music!  A special treat each year, the choirs and soloists let their hair down, singing songs like "Razzle-Dazzle", "When I'm Sixty Five", "So Long Farewell" and much more!

 

Choral Evensong for the

Feast of St. James of Jerusalem

Sunday, October 21 - 5:00 PM

The combined Choirs of All Saints Church join the Choir of St. Paul's Church, Richmond for a festal Evensong, commemorating St. James of Jerusalem.  The choirs will sing Herbert Howells' monumental "Collegium Regale" canticles, and Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Five Mystical Songs".  Dr. Christopher Reynolds and Scott G. Hayes, directing and accompanying.

 

Soundworks Chorus Veteran's Day Celebration

Formed in 2005, Soundworks is Central Virginia's premiere men's a cappella ensemble under the music direction of Nicholas Brata.  a dynamic repertoire that encompasses several musical styles that include barbershop, choral works, contemporary a cappella, doo-wop, folk, gospel, holiday music, & jazz, just to name a few. Soundworks represents the James River, VA chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is dedicated to musical and vocal excellence.


Richmond Concert Choral Concert

Candlelight Concert at Bruton Parish, Williamsburg

Saturday, December 1 - 8:00 PM

All Saints Girls & Parish Choir makes a return trip to Williamsburg's historic Bruton Parish Church for their Candlelight Concert Series.  This concert is sure to be a full house, as it immediately follows Williamsburg's "Grand Illumination" celebration!   Music by Handel, Chilcott, Tallis, Cornelius, Willcocks, among other seasonal favorites.  Scott G. A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols
Sunday, December 23 - 5:00 PM

Our annual Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols sung by the Choir of Men & Boys, based on the service famously produced by King's College, Cambridge annually.  A Richmond tradition since the 1960s,  The service will be broadcast on WCVE radio at a later date.

 

Compline at All Saints
Sundays, September 30; November 25; & January 19 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel

The ancient service of “Night Prayer”, this service descends from the prayers said before bed at the end of the monastic round of daily prayer, asking for God’s protection during the night to come.The music is quiet and completely unaccompanied.A newly formed “Compline Choir” joins to sing plainsong chants, choral settings of sacred texts, and other appropriate works.
