All Saints Episcopal Church
July 11 - 15, 2022
9:00 AM - Noon

This Summer, all children rising to K-2 are invited to our inaugural "Summer Songs" Choir Camp at All Saints Church, July 11-15!  Your child will begin to find their voice, learn about music and some instruments, and make new friends through music. Fun will be had by all, with crafts, snacks, and other hands-on activities.  There is no need to be a church member or affiliated with All Saints in any way!

How To Register

Please complete the Google form, available here. Payment will be by check the first day of camp!

The cost of our camp is $175 for the entire week, or a daily cost of $35/day.  While we encourage everyone to come all five days, we can accommodate those who can only attend a few days.  Financial assistance is available, upon request.

A Typical Day at Camp

We'll begin with a short story to get imaginations going - a story about Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals" or about an instrument that we'll meet later in the day. Then, we'll move into a time of singing with Ms. Wanda.  After we sing for a bit, we'll move to craft time - where we'll make a music related craft.  A snack is our half way point, and is followed up with a game time with Mr. Toby.  Then, we'll meet an "instrument" - piano, violin, oboe, flute, and organ (we'll even get to walk through the pipe organ at All Saints!).  Then, we'll end with a period of singing before we head to the playground for pickup!

Wanda operates StudioLaux, where she maintains a busy schedule of teaching piano and voice. An experienced children’s choir director, she most recently led the youth & children’s choir at All Saints Episcopal Church in Lakeland, Florida before relocating to Richmond.

Scott Hayes will accompany the camp. Scott is the Director of Music at All Saints Church, where he directs the Boys' & Girls' Choirs, as well as the Parish and Men's choirs.

Leslie Long, Loretta McCray, & MaryKate Mandeville will introduce us to the Oboe, Violin and Flute. Leslie and Loretta are well known teachers in Richmond (at St. Christopher's School and beyond), and MaryKate is a high school senior who has studied extensively with Susan Davis.

Other volunteers from All Saints will lead crafts, games, and provide snacks, just as at All Saints Vacation Bible School.

"Summer Songs" will take place at All Saints Episcopal Church on 8787 River Road, Richmond.  All Saints is known for a long tradition of boys' and girls' choirs, and for the excellent All Saints Preschool.
